The macro knobs don’t show what they affect, so you have to open the serum matrix to see what you’re doing when you turn the knob.
When I first opened the pack, I immediately grabbed the serum presets. When I flipped through the presets (playing sounds via MIDI, and data inside the package), I was amazed at how many sounds there were and how good they all sounded. Many of them are unique and many are phenomenal remakes of the biggest Confessions albums. In particular, one sound caught my eye: a sound remade from Dombreski’s hit “Utopia”. The preset, named after the song, has been seamlessly redesigned. With so many leads, immersive effects, and more, inspiration is limitless when creating any genre with this pack. The sounds are really cool here.
When I got to drums, I was amazed at how well they fit into recordings without any processing. The claps are a perfect size, the percussion is unique, and everything sounds tight and ready to go. Surprisingly, two kick kits are included as long as these are your standard sharp punches/snaps that are used to cut through the mix. Some of these bigger kicks are also Jace Meck’s “Whale” style.
